Finally Club Fizz Has Some Pillows
Club Fizz was missing some nice fuzzy pillows for lounging about.

I got these from Realm Dekor. There were a couple of weird issues with the fur but they were very nice to deal with and made sure that I was happy with my purchase.

I got white and black fur so that the white would pick up the color of the LED lighting.
The fabric is called Bubble Fur.. Lots of Burning Man people like to make things out of it.
Kiss Kiss Fizz Fizz
Kiss Kiss Fizz Fizz was a very good party.

Roman certainly had a good time.

And these are anatomically correct heart cookies.

Why Fizz 2008 was canceled
There aren’t very many reasons why I would cancel a Club Fizz party but sometimes things go wrong.
Here are the two reasons why:
1. Crazy Ants
Something to consider when your ultra-spoiled poodle is on a BARF diet and there are ants around.
Warning: the following is NASTY.

2. Club Fizz foundation leak.

Before leaving for work this morning I checked the foundation for leaks. There was some water in Hal’s room but not really that much. At about 11am John called me to let me know that there was a ton of water coming from the foundation in the corner of Hal’s room. So I had to get home to help keep water at bay while the source of the leak was identified and fixed. On my way home I pickup up a wet-vac from Home Creepo. I was super lucky that the foundation contractor was able to come over and help John dig a trench around my neighbor’s unit. It turns out that the water was coming from his foundation and causing it to divert underneath mine. After the contractor left, there was still water gushing in. It turned out that there was another area where the water was diverting from under his unit directly into mine. So we climbed up the muddy hill and John dug another big hole where the water was able to collect and go outside of the building instead of into Club Fizz. Basically it totally sucked and my floors got all wet and there was mud everywhere and we are both totally exhausted.
Me in my trusty Marc Jacobs wellies vacuuming up water.

As far as we can tell all the temporary fixes we made today have been 100% successful. The sub-floor is drying out and luckily the Tarkett is not damaged. Just lots of nastyness.
In other news, Queen Flee Wee is old enough now to write her own blog.
Custom Window Bars
Reed Brother’s Security fabricated and installed these window bars based on my fizzy design.

They kinda messed up my drywall in the process as they had originally fabricated them incorrectly and had to re-do them in order for their screws to be flush with the wall.
They never did get them quite flush with the wall but I was tired of them coming back and making a mess so I stopped trying to get them to fix it.

LED wall sandwich

This wall needed to be finished off.

So my neighbor/carpenter Stone-age Steve came over and we decided to put lights inside it and create a sandwich out of clear acrylic and wood.

All shiny and powder coated. Used to look like this.
36 days to Club Fizz hard launch!

Open for Fizzness
That’s right, Club Fizz has finally passed all inspections.
Today the gas pressure held perfectly and everything is signed off.
My life is now inspector free.
This means:
a) No more $$ for permits & fees etc.
b) No more nosy people to please
c) Modification, modification, modification

and of course there will be a halloween party on October 27-cool people only.
You know who you are.
OMG it’s the furnace!
So we were talking about the test and all the things we did with some friends today.
We went through all the appliances- the stove, the dryer, the water heater, the BBQ. and the FURNACE!
We forgot about the FURNACE. It wasn’t capped off. So that was the problem all along.
Rescheduled inspection for Wednesday.
