This Sunday, a painting company was painting a building @ Broadway & 30th st (nissan dealership). We witnessed them cleaning their paint buckets and tools over the stormdrain in front of the building on Broadway. All of the run-off was going into the drain that heads into the creek.

This is the name of the company:
Furtado's Painting
510 213 1211

I called non-emergency OPD around 4pm and told them what was going on. Incident # 888. An officer was quickly dispatched and I left the area. When I came back two hours later, the creek was white with paint.

To the credit of the painters, after I told them what they were doing they were surprised and stopped dumping. They actually seem like nice people. But as contractors in Oakland, shouldn't they know this stuff?
